Aurora Fire Starter {Review}

Aurora Fire Starter

When my older children were all young we did the camping, fishing spending time in the woods as a family. Well, since there were 11 years between the youngest of the older crew and the oldest of the younger crew that isn’t happening anymore!

However, my younger girls are in American Heritage Girls and they do learn about camping, hiking, fire safety and other outdoor skills while earning their badges to wear on their uniforms.

One of the program requirements included emergency preparation. They learned about what is recommended by the Red Cross for emergencies. On this list was a fire starter kit.

So when I was asked to review one of these, we were all over it. We found the fire starter easy to use, small enough to slip in a pocket or pouch without being jabbed by sharp edges (as with other like products), and water proof.

We have had fun starting fires under less than optimal conditions and find this product the perfect little tool for these conditions.

Pretty basic and really easy to use.

Starting a fire was a breeze. The kit includes treated cotton material to use as kindling. This mom likes that the kit also came with instructions on not only how to use the product but also how to replace the cotton material for future use.

Here is a quick video on how it works:

Overall, this product does exactly what it claims…it helps you start a fire quickly and easily! For more information, visit them online or on their Amazon store.

I received one or more of the products mentioned from Tomoson.com to use in this product review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
