DIY Foaming Hand Soap

DIY Foaming Hand Soap

DIY Foaming Hand Soap

Today I want to share how you can make your own foaming hand soap at home. I like using foaming soap with the little ones because they like to wash their hands with it and I can use less soap and save money.

The only real investment is in your soap dispenser. I purchased mine at Kohl’s in the clearance section for $1.99 each. The Dollar stores will have them every once in a while and they already have soap in them so that is a real bonus.

DIY Foaming Hand Soap

1. Depending on how foamy you want your soap, adjust the amount up for down. I use five (5) pumps from a hand soap dispenser (it’s about 2 tablespoons).

2. Fill the container with cold water –slowly so you don’t end up with a bubble factory.

3. Leave about an inch at the top of the container. Gently stir or jiggle to mix – GENTLY being the operative word!

4. Replace top and away you go! You could add other things such as scent or oils to the mix but I usually purchase a nicely scented hand soap bottle for a buck at the store and it lasts for months!

The only “downside” to having the foaming hand soap… the little ones, especially the boys want to wash their hands all the time! LOL

So smart. I love foamy hand soap much more than regular soap, especially for kids. Love money saving ideas. Thanks.

Foaming hand soap is my absolute favorite, but it does get pricey. I love the idea of making my own. I may have to have a ‘foam hand soap’ making party!

Ooo! Another idea to add to my hippy file! We should totally be making this (DIY Foaming Hand Soap) in my house instead of buying it. To go along with my dishwasher and laundry soap!

Gotta put the bottle on my list to find when I’m out and about.

I like foaming hand soap too. It’s really so easy to make at home and those of us who like the foaming soap usually already have the foamer.

My husband LOVES foaming soap and I have about 40 bottles of soap in my stockpile that I got free using coupons. This is a great tip!
