Courage to Stand: Mastering Trial Strategies and Techniques in the Courtroom
I’ve always been told there are two ways to gain experience and wisdom. One is from the school of hard knocks and the other is by taking advantage of lessons learned by those you respect. The latter is of course the wiser but not always the path most of us take. In her latest book, Sandra Spurgeon shares her years and countless hours of experience in trial strategies and techniques in the courtroom.
My interest was peaked when I read that she was an attorney near where I live in Kentucky. And while I am not an attorney, several of my children have criminal justice degrees and we have always enjoyed learning about the laws and pointing out mistakes in shows on television. If you have an interest in understanding the courtroom, this book should be on your reading list.
