Extraordinary Women Conference in Northern Kentucky
I recently attend the Extraordinary Women Conference that was held on the NKU campus in Northern Kentucky. Although I was covering the event from a press tour view, I was amazed at how uplifting and encouraging their message was to women of all ages and walks in life.
This conference is founded on:
Extraordinary Women exists to help draw women closer to the heart of God… everyday. Extraordinary Women is not just a Christian women’s event… it’s a lifestyle. We are excited that women attend our conferences, but we want more than just a few days with you. We want to be a part of your life!
Extraordinary Women’s mission is to host Christian women’s events and provide resources that equip women to handle life’s difficulties while enriching their hearts, encouraging their souls and expanding their ministries.
I was so impressed at the open sharing of hearts and lives from the speakers and performers. The weekend that I attended had an awesome lineup of speakers.

She was 16 when she married Phil, and since then she’s been keeping him and the boys from spending too much time in the woods and bringing them back to civilization each night with a home cooked meal. Miss Kay believes her cooking talents are a gift which she must share, so she often ends up feeding all of the family and most of the neighborhood. The performers were also world renowned:
Michael was the lead singer of the Christian band, NewSong, for seven years. Sensing that God was placing a strong call on his life to step out and minister as a solo artist, he resigned his position with the band and has now been serving in the music ministry on his own for some 20 years. Michael has built a reputation as an incredibly gifted singer/songwriter with a heart for ministering to the body of Christ.
Jeremy thoughtful lyrics and booming voice have earned him legions of fans and accolades including 15 #1 songs, five Dove Awards, three ASCAP Songwriter of the Year wins, and an American Music Award nomination. He spreads his message musically through anthemic songs with all the depth on a Sunday sermon.
The message was strong, based on Romans 15:13. Finding Joy in the Journey. Life is hard and the journey is never down the easiest path. However, in Christ we can stand strong and keep our focus on Him. This is the only way to remain Joyful.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Do you walk in Joy on your Journey? With Christ you can rest assure in His promises. Not sure where you stand with Christ? This is something you can settle once and for all. I would love to study the scriptures with you or connect you with someone in your local area. If you are in the NKY area, you are invited to worship with me at the Summit Church of Christ in Cold Spring any service.
