Oven Roasted Broccoli
Broccoli is a favored vegetable around our house all year long. We eat it raw in salads or just as munchies. Of course the little ones use it as a ranch dressing delivery system but thankfully everyone loves it. One of our favorite ways to enjoy it is Oven Roasted. Broccoli when baked at high temperatures releases a wonderful, nutty flavor and the florets pop open and become crunchy. Yummers!
Ingredients:
1 Bunch of fresh Broccoli (or 2 if you are a fan)
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil or Oil of choice
Directions:
Remove wrapping and straps on your Broccoli, wash and pat dry
Using a sharp paring knife, slice off bottom of stems to separate broccoli into individual stalks (if stalks are large, trim them down into small ones)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Place Broccoli on a foil lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt & pepper
Bake for 30-45 minutes or until the top florets pop open and get crispy
Optional:
If you are adding seasoning to your Broccoli, we have found it is easier to put all the spices in a measuring cup with about ΒΌ cup of olive oil and then drizzle that spice mixture over the Broccoli on the baking sheet. Try using steak rub, garlic & lime, or just a little lemon zest for a wonderful snack or side dish.
Thank you for the recipe. I have been wanting to try this!!
